George Klassen earned his first major league win for Los Angeles, pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs. He struck out five batters while walking one, providing a solid foundation for the offense. Blake Weiman and Ryan Watson each pitched scoreless relief innings to preserve the lead before Ben Joyce closed the game with a perfect inning of work for his first save.
The Rangers’ starting effort came from Cal Quantrill, who threw 5.0 innings with six strikeouts but gave up four hits and one earned run. He was relieved by Robby Ahlstrom, who took the loss after allowing three runs in just 0.1 innings of work. Peyton Gray and Ben Peoples also pitched for Texas, combining to allow two more runs over their respective outings.
The game’s momentum shifted dramatically in the sixth inning. After a hit by Grissom scored Siri to tie the game at 2-2, the Angels loaded the bases. Guzman executed a sacrifice bunt to score Siri, putting Los Angeles ahead 3-2.
Trout followed with another single to drive in Peraza, extending the lead to 4-2. In the seventh, Frazier reached on an infield single, allowing Neto to score and make it 5-2. Ballesteros was thrown out at home trying to advance, ending the rally.
