The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall, strengthening their roster as they prepare for a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.
At 28 years old, Hall previously played for the New York Jets and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, selected 158th overall. Over his career, Hall has started 26 of 40 games, recording 122 total tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.
Standing at 6-foot-1, he brings versatility and is expected to enhance the Texans' special teams, an area needing improvement.
The Texans are currently dealing with several injuries in their secondary, affecting players such as Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan. These challenges could have a significant impact on the team's special teams performance, making Hall's addition timely as he aims to provide depth and experience. Further updates on the Texans' roster and injury status are expected as the preseason continues.
