Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins did not practice Thursday or Friday after sustaining a hamstring injury during Wednesday's workout, and the team has not announced whether he will play Cincinnati in Week 2. His official game designation remains pending.

Adam Schefter reported that Houston's doctors did not view the injury as serious. Ian Rapoport offered a similar assessment Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show*, but said missing both practices reduced Collins' likelihood of appearing against the Bengals.

Collins, 27, began the 2026 season with seven catches, 75 receiving yards and one touchdown on 10 targets during Houston's 36-31 defeat against Buffalo. He had surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in all three of the preceding seasons.

ClutchPoints.com reported that Collins' availability has not been resolved. If he sits out against Cincinnati, the report said he could possibly return when Houston plays Indianapolis in Week 3 on Sept. 27.
