North Texas will play nine of its 13 nonconference men’s basketball games at the Super Pit in Denton during the 2026-27 season, according to UNT Athletics and second-year head coach Daniyal Robinson. The American Conference schedule will be announced later by the league.
The Mean Green’s first road game is scheduled for Nov. 20 at App State in Boone, North Carolina. Before that, North Texas will begin the season with home games against Southwest Christian on Nov. 2, McNeese on Nov. 5, Santa Clara on Nov. 11 and South Alabama on Nov. 14.
McNeese and Santa Clara played in the 2025-26 NCAA Tournament, while South Alabama appeared in the NIT. Overall, the schedule features three NCAA Tournament opponents from last season and two NIT teams.
North Texas will compete in the Snake Rivers Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29, with Drake, North Dakota State and Boise State listed as opponents.
The remaining games include Bradley on Dec. 4, Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 6, Texas State on Dec. 13 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Winthrop on Dec. 16, Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 20 and the University of the Southwest on Dec. 22. The Texas State game is part of the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, the program’s second straight appearance.
