Baylor and Louisiana Tech are both changing quarterbacks for Saturday’s matchup, with Nate Bennett preparing for his second straight start for the Bears. DJ Lagway will miss the game because of an ankle injury.
Lagway transferred to Baylor from Florida and was hurt in the team’s season-opening defeat against Auburn. He also missed last week’s game against Prairie View A&M after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech matchup.
Bennett threw for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M, while also committing two interceptions. Louisiana Tech will turn to Trey Kukuk after starter Blake Baker became unavailable with a hand injury. ESPN.com reported the quarterback updates.
