The Chargers struck first when Cameron Dicker connected on a 34-yard field goal, giving Los Angeles an early 3-0 lead. The Texans responded quickly in the same period, with quarterback Davis Mills connecting on a 5-yard pass to Jared Wayne for a touchdown. Chris Freeman’s kick made it 7-3 in favor of Houston.
The second quarter saw Amar Johnson break through for a 7-yard rushing touchdown. Cameron Dicker added the extra point, shifting the lead back to the visitors at 10-7 by halftime. In the fourth quarter, Amar Johnson added another rushing touchdown, this time from 1 yard out. He also completed a two-point conversion by running himself, bringing the score to 21-7. Houston’s defense was unable to stop the Chargers’ ground game or pass attack in the final period.
