Houston will be without wide receiver Nico Collins against Cincinnati after he sustained a Grade 1 hamstring injury during Wednesday’s practice. He missed Houston’s last two practices that week, and the Texans listed him as out on their final injury report.

Collins’ status for the Texans’ Week 3 meeting with Indianapolis has not been determined. Aaron Wilson reported that the team is still evaluating when the receiver can return.

Houston is expected to spread Collins’ receiving duties among several players. Kayshon Boutte, Xavier Hutchinson and Jaylin Noel are among those who could see additional opportunities, while Jayden Higgins is unavailable because of a season-ending ACL injury.

Collins opened the season with seven catches for 75 yards and one touchdown in Houston’s 36-31 defeat against Buffalo. C.J. Stroud threw passes to 11 players in that game, giving the Texans several receiving options as they pursue their first victory of the season. Collins has been one of Houston’s most productive offensive players during the past three seasons.
