Oziyah Sellers is enrolled at SMU and practicing with the men’s basketball team while the school awaits a ruling on his eligibility. The fifth-year guard started all 36 of his games for St. John’s in 2025-26, helping the Red Storm post a 30-7 record and win the Big East championship. He averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Sellers played at Stanford in 2024-25, starting every game and scoring 13.7 points per contest in the ACC. Before that, he spent two seasons at USC, where he played for current SMU coach Andy Enfield. Sellers has made 37.8% of his three-point attempts during his career, including a 42.9% mark as a USC sophomore. His career free-throw rate is 86.9%.
SMU is entering Enfield’s third season and has a transfer class ranked 21st nationally by On3 for 2026-27. The school’s announcement did not specify when Sellers’ eligibility decision might come.
