Angela Stanford, who is from Saginaw, about 15 miles from Fort Worth, has joined TCU as an assistant coach for the university’s women’s golf team. Her hiring followed her recent service as captain of the U.S. team at the Solheim Cup.
Stanford played for TCU from 1996 through 2000 and earned All-American honors four times. She remains the only four-time All-American in the program’s history and holds its record with 10 wins.
TCU head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was very pleased to bring Stanford back as its third coach. The coach pointed to Stanford’s major-championship experience and her role leading the U.S. Solheim Cup team. TCU did not provide additional details about Stanford’s responsibilities.
