Anyone hoping to cast a ballot on Nov. 3 has until Monday, Oct. 5, to get registered, the Grayson County Elections Administration says.

Texas does not offer same-day registration. Applications are available from the county elections office and the Texas Secretary of State.

Key dates

  • Oct. 5: Last day to register to vote.
  • Oct. 19-30: Early voting.
  • Oct. 23: Last day for the elections office to receive an application for a ballot by mail.
  • Nov. 3: Election Day; vote centers run from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Where to vote

Grayson County uses countywide vote centers on Election Day, so a registered voter can cast a ballot at any center in the county. In Gunter, the vote center is the foyer of First Baptist Church, 99 Gentle Creek Lane.

Nearby centers include the Grayson College South Campus library in Van Alstyne, 1455 W. Van Alstyne Parkway; the Howe Police Department, 700 W. Haning St.; and the Tioga Fire Department meeting room, 601 Main St.

Early voting sites and sample ballots are posted on the county elections page.

Some contests will not appear

Not every race scheduled for November will be on the ballot. Among the county's election notices are orders canceling the Grayson College and Woodbine Special Utility District elections after their candidates were certified as unopposed.
