Tristan Peters Leads Offense

The Chicago White Sox offense exploded for 11 runs on Tuesday night, securing an 11-7 victory over the Texas Rangers at Rate Field. Tristan Peters was a central figure in the White Sox offensive display, contributing multiple hits and runs as Chicago improved its record to 69-63. The loss dropped the Texas Rangers to 66-67.

Peters opened the scoring in the first inning with a single to left field that allowed Michael Antonacci to score on a throwing error by Rangers left fielder Luke Langford. Peters advanced to second base before being joined on third by Tyler Murakami, who reached on an error.

The White Sox continued their assault later in the inning when Peters doubled to right field, driving in two more runs as Michael Antonacci and Brock Montgomery crossed home plate.

DeGrom Struggles Early

Texas starter Jacob deGrom faced a difficult night at the plate of his own making. Despite taking the mound for the Rangers, deGrom allowed six hits, five walks, and eight earned runs over 3.2 innings while recording just two strikeouts. He took the loss, falling to a 9-9 record on the season.

Texas managed to put runs on the board in the second and fourth innings. Josh Jung homered to center field in the second inning for his team's only run of that frame. Later, in the fourth inning, Corey Seager singled to center to score Michael Antonacci, followed by a single from Marcus Semien that brought Brock Montgomery home.

The Rangers also received some offensive production in the fifth inning. Evan Carter homered to left field, driving in two runs, while Adolis Garcia added another run with a single to left field. Michael Antonacci tripled to right field to score one more run, and Seager singled again to drive in Antonio Perez.

Closing Out the Game

The White Sox bullpen held the Rangers' offense in check after deGrom's departure. Jordan Hicks pitched one inning, allowing four hits and three earned runs before exiting. Bryan Hudson came on to pitch 1.1 scoreless innings, earning the win with a record of 4-4.

Hagen Smith pitched 1.2 innings, giving up one hit and three walks but no earned runs. Grant Taylor closed out the game in 0.1 innings for his eighth save.

The final attendance at Rate Field was 19,892. The White Sox will look to build on this offensive performance as they continue their season, while the Rangers aim to rebound from this defeat.
