The game’s momentum shifted dramatically in the fifth inning. After the score was tied 2-2, Alex Bregman and the White Sox offense unleashed a three-run barrage. Benintendi doubled to right field, driving in Antonacci, Vargas, and Murakami in a single play. This surge gave Chicago a 5-2 lead that the Rangers could not answer.
Scoring Sequence
Chicago established an early advantage in the first inning when Pederson homered to right center, a 423-foot shot that put the White Sox ahead 1-0. The Rangers responded in the second inning, with Carter singling to right to score Duran, tying the game at 1-1.
