Chris Sale delivered a commanding performance on the mound, pitching seven scoreless innings to lead the Atlanta Braves to a decisive 15-1 victory over the Texas Rangers. Sale (10-6) allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out six batters, setting the tone for an offensive explosion at Truist Park.

His efficiency allowed the Braves' lineup to capitalize on early opportunities, building a lead that would never be threatened.

Early Offense

The Braves struck first in the second inning. With the score tied, a single by Baldwin to left field brought Smith home, followed by an RBI single from Albies to right that scored Riley. The rally continued in the fourth inning when Baldwin launched a 419-foot home run to center, driving in two more runs.

Olson added to the momentum with a 420-foot home run to right, extending the advantage to 6-0.

Atlanta continued to pile on runs in the fifth inning. Jarvis doubled to right and scored on a single by Baldwin, making it 8-0. The Braves' offense remained relentless in the seventh. Rangers' Response and Final Innings

The Rangers managed to get on the board in the eighth inning. Lopez singled to left to score Cauley, making the score 12-1. However, the Braves answered immediately. Riley homered to left (390 feet), increasing the lead to 13-1. Mederos then singled to left, scoring two more runs to finalize the scoring at 15-1.

Pitching and Records

Texas Rangers pitchers struggled to contain the Braves' hitters. Cal Quantrill took the loss after allowing six earned runs in four innings. Emiliano Teodo, Gavin Collyer, Ben Peoples, and Kyle Higashioka also gave up runs, with Collyer and Higashioka allowing four and three earned runs respectively. The Rangers' pitching staff could not stem the tide against Atlanta's potent offense.

For the Braves, Victor Mederos pitched the final two innings, allowing one earned run on three hits. The victory improved the Braves' record to 56-40, while the Rangers fell to 49-48. The game was played in front of 40,147 fans at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
