Pederson Powers Rangers Offense

Joc Pederson delivered a pivotal two-homer performance to anchor the Texas Rangers' victory over the Seattle Mariners, 7-3, on Monday at Globe Life Field. The win improved the Rangers' record to 54-52, while the Mariners fell to 52-55.

Pederson set the tone early in the first inning, launching a 418-foot home run to center field that gave Seattle an initial 1-0 lead. However, the Rangers quickly seized control in the second inning. After a 395-foot home run by Seattle's Arozarena tied the game at 1-1, Pederson provided the decisive blow.

He homered to right field on a 347-foot drive, driving in Lopez and Díaz to extend the Rangers' lead to 4-1.

Rangers Extend Lead in Third

The Rangers continued their offensive surge in the third inning. Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to left, allowing Emerson to score and pushing the margin to 5-2. Duran followed with a 436-foot home run to left center, making it 6-2. Burger then capped the inning with a 403-foot home run to left center, scoring Carter and bringing the final tally of the frame to 7-2.

Seattle managed to score in the ninth inning when Crawford hit a sacrifice fly to left, allowing Naylor to cross the plate. The final score stood at 7-3.

Pitching Performances

Kumar Rocker earned the win for the Rangers, pitching 6.2 innings and allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out seven batters. He was supported by Robby Ahlstrom, who pitched 0.1 scoreless innings, Jakob Junis, who recorded one hit and one walk in one inning, and Jacob Latz, who allowed one earned run on two hits in his inning of work.

For Seattle, George Kirby took the loss, giving up seven earned runs on seven hits in 4.0 innings with three strikeouts. Jose Ferrer, Michael Rucker, Cole Wilcox, and Alex Hoppe pitched scoreless innings, combining to allow one hit and one walk while striking out seven batters.

The game, attended by 27,683 fans, concluded with the Rangers securing a key win in the AL West standings.
