The Texas Rangers defeated the San Francisco Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, behind a five-pitcher shutout led by Cody Bradford. Bradford worked 4 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out five without being charged with a run.
Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings, allowing no hits and no walks with three strikeouts. Alexander earned the win and improved to 2-2.
Texas builds the lead in the third
The game stayed scoreless until the bottom of the third inning, when Texas put together the decisive stretch. Nimmo singled to right, scoring Langford for a 1-0 lead.
Foscue followed with a triple to left that brought in Nimmo and Burger, stretching the Rangers’ advantage to 3-0. Díaz then doubled to left, scoring Foscue and making it 4-0 before the inning ended.
Carson Whisenhunt was charged with those four earned runs for San Francisco. He allowed five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings, struck out four and took the loss, falling to 2-3.
