The Athletics responded in the third when Butler singled to center, bringing in Gelof to tie the game at 1-1.
However, Nimmo immediately answered with a single to right, scoring Seager again to restore the Rangers' advantage.
The offensive surge continued in the fifth inning, where Nimmo singled to right field, driving in both Pederson and Seager while advancing Langford to third. Duran followed with a groundout to second base, scoring Langford and extending the lead to 5-1. The sixth inning proved to be the Rangers' most prolific, as they added three more runs.
