Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko has announced that wide receiver Madden Williams will not participate for the rest of the 2026 season due to a lower-body injury sustained during a recent practice. Surgery will be necessary for Williams, who was already absent from the season opener against Missouri State, joining safety Tawfiq Byard on the sidelines.
Williams' injury marks the third loss in the wide receiver lineup for the Aggies before the season began. Earlier in fall camp, Jonah Wilson was removed from the roster after transferring from Houston, and Jerome Myles was also announced as no longer part of the program due to personal reasons. Myles, a former five-star recruit, had missed the entire 2025 season due to injury.
With Williams unavailable, Texas A&M will depend on its main wide receivers: Mario Craver, Isaiah Horton, and Ashton Bethel-Roman. The situation presents opportunities for other players on the roster, including true freshman Aaron Gregory, who made a notable impact in the opener with a 15-yard touchdown catch and two receptions totaling 22 yards.
Kelshaun Johnson and TK Norman will also see increased chances for playing time, with Johnson recording three catches for 25 yards against Missouri State.
