The Houston Texans have officially added running back Deuce Vaughn to their roster. This announcement was made by the team on Monday. Vaughn, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and has a weight of 185 pounds, was on the Denver Broncos' practice squad throughout the 2025 season after joining in September of the previous year.

He re-signed with the Broncos on a reserve/future contract in January but was released by the team in May. After his release, Vaughn played for the UFL's Orlando Storm before making his return to the NFL with the Texans.

In a corresponding move, the Texans waived former Broncos wide receiver Juwann Winfree. Additionally, the team conducted workouts with running back Blake Watson and former Denver receiver Josh Reynolds, as noted by the NFL's transaction wire.

Currently, four other players who were on the Broncos' practice squad remain free agents after their contracts expired in February. These include quarterback Ben DiNucci, tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Patrick Murtagh, and defensive back Delarrin Turner-Yell. Furthermore, defensive lineman Jonathan Harris has recently had a workout with the Minnesota Vikings.

Details regarding Vaughn's potential role with the Texans or Winfree's future plans have not been disclosed.
