In a recent interview with Texans radio, Harsh shared his feelings of anxiety while awaiting the roster announcement. He recounted, "I was just kind of waiting for a phone call... Then I saw the roster get released, and I was like, Oh my gosh. Like, that is pretty cool, man."
Having missed the first preseason game due to injury, Harsh felt increased pressure to perform well in subsequent outings. His notable display against the Carolina Panthers in the second preseason game included three tackles, one sack, two quarterback hits, one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup, significantly enhancing his chances of making the team.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans praised Harsh for his potential contributions in both pass rushing and run defense, which likely influenced the decision to keep him on the roster. Despite this achievement, Harsh remains committed to further development, saying, "I haven't done it yet, so I've still got a lot more work to do."
