The Texans could have wide receiver Nico Collins back for their Week 4 matchup with the Cowboys, though his status remains uncertain. Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that he is hopeful Collins will be available.
Collins has missed Houston’s last two games while recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain. He also has not practiced during the past two weeks. The Texans have opened the season 0-3, and their offense has struggled over the past two games without him.
Collins would likely need to return to practice as at least a limited participant between Wednesday and Friday to have a realistic chance of playing Sunday. Ryans’ comments were the latest indication of a possible return, but they did not establish that Collins will be cleared. CBS Sports reported the information.
