Houston Texans linebacker Henry To’oTo’o is expected to miss time because of a shoulder injury from the team’s 36-31 loss to Buffalo, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. The Texans have not decided whether to put the starting linebacker on injured reserve.

To’oTo’o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter as he tackled Bills tight end Dawson Knox. Teammates helped him to his feet before he left the field, and he did not return. Houston drafted him in the fifth round in 2023. In August, he agreed to a two-year extension worth $16 million.

The Texans will host Cincinnati, visit Indianapolis and then host Dallas in their next three games. All three opponents finished last season among the NFL’s 12 highest-scoring offenses. Buffalo’s 36 points marked the second-most Houston has allowed during Ryans’ tenure, behind the 37 Tampa Bay scored in 2023.

It was also Houston’s first game allowing more than 30 points since Baltimore scored 31 on Christmas in 2024. ESPN reported the injury update.
