The Dallas Cowboys will be missing linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, safeties P.J. Locke and Malik Hooker, and cornerback Cobie Durant when they face the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil on Sunday. Three of the four are defensive starters. Locke, Dallas’ third safety and a key reserve, also is unavailable against an offense led by Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
None of the four practiced during the week or traveled to Brazil. Dallas’ defense finished in the bottom three leaguewide in 2025 and entered this season ranked 29th out of 32 teams after two games.
Stephen Jones, the Cowboys’ executive vice president, said Overshown and Hooker may have an opportunity to play in Week 4 at Houston. Overshown has a hamstring strain, and Hooker is healing from a fractured forearm. Those injuries happened in the season opener against the Giants, and both missed Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Overshown directs the defense as its signal caller. Neither player has been cleared, and the report did not indicate that either is likely to return. Durant, who has a hamstring injury, and Locke, who has a foot injury, are not expected to be available against the Texans.
