Ryan Flournoy is set to remain with the Dallas Cowboys through the 2027 season under a reported one-year, $6 million extension. The deal is expected to be signed this week, before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.
The wide receiver was selected by Dallas in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. He was waived during the Cowboys’ initial roster reductions in 2025, cleared waivers and later rejoined the organization through its practice squad. That move replaced his original four-year rookie contract, leaving him with three years on the new agreement and a potential restricted-free-agent season after 2026.
The extension removes that restricted-free-agent possibility and gives Dallas another season of control over Flournoy’s contract. The team described his 2025 season as a breakout, and the new agreement provides opportunities for him to continue developing in 2026 and 2027 while preserving the possibility of a longer deal in the future. Dallas also recently reached a three-year extension with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
