The Texans had five players unavailable because of injuries at Wednesday’s practice, and tight end Dalton Schultz was held out for rest. Offensive tackle Trent Brown was listed with knee and wrist issues, while defensive end Jadeveon Clowney had a knee injury. Wide receiver Nico Collins remained out with a hamstring problem.

Linebacker Jake Hummel and offensive guard Ed Ingram were both sidelined by groin injuries. Collins injured the hamstring during practice last week and also missed the Texans’ Week 2 loss to the Bengals. No additional details were provided about the other injuries.

Three defensive players participated on a limited basis. Will Anderson Jr. was resting, and Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart were limited by knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who have thumb injuries, took part fully.
