The Dallas Cowboys have officially cut their roster down from 91 players to the mandated 53 ahead of the 2026 NFL season. This decision precedes their first game in East Rutherford, as the team continues to finalize their practice squad.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer remarked that this year's roster cuts were particularly difficult due to the team's depth and talent. The Cowboys' initial roster features three quarterbacks, three running backs, six wide receivers, and a mix of players in defensive and special teams roles.

The roster includes the following positions: three quarterbacks—Dak Prescott, Joe Milton, and Sam Howell; three running backs—Javonte Williams, Malik Davis, and Hunter Luepke; and six wide receivers—CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Ryan Flournoy, KaVontae Turpin, Jonathan Mingo, and Camden Brown. The team also has three tight ends, nine offensive linemen, and various defensive players.

Several players have been assigned to injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list, such as linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore. Additional roster changes are expected as the Cowboys prepare for the upcoming season.
