The Green Bay Packers have agreed to sign guard Laken Tomlinson from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad, according to NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The move leaves Dallas with Marcellus Johnson and Wanya Morris as its two practice-squad offensive linemen.
Tomlinson, 34, joined the Cowboys earlier this month after All-Pro guard Tyler Smith underwent thumb surgery and went on injured reserve. He did not appear in either of Dallas' first two games, and his timing for a Packers debut has not been announced. Smith can return after Week 4.
Detroit selected Tomlinson in the first round of the 2015 draft. In 11 NFL seasons, he has played in 173 games, starting 162, and earned a 2021 Pro Bowl selection with the San Francisco 49ers. His other teams include the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, for whom he played 10 games in 2025.
He was charged with allowing three sacks and 11 pressures for Houston last season.
Johnson is listed at tackle and has not appeared in an NFL game. Morris has played both left and right tackle in his three-year career. Green Bay has been without Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele along its offensive line.
Bako-Bewele will miss the rest of the season because of a torn patellar tendon. Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been sacked eight times, while Pro Football Focus credits the team with 57 pressures in three games. Dallas is set to play at Green Bay in Week 6.
