Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott opted out of participating in any snaps during the team's three preseason games. This decision comes as he prepares for the 2026 season, bolstered by the addition of wide receiver George Pickens, who joins CeeDee Lamb as a key target.

In the previous season, Prescott recorded 4,552 passing yards and completed 30 touchdown passes from 600 attempts, marking the second-highest total of his career. The Cowboys aim to establish a more balanced offensive strategy this year, which may result in fewer touchdown passes for Prescott. Furthermore, a new defensive scheme under coordinator Christian Parker could help the team avoid frequent catch-up situations.

With Lamb and Pickens leading the receiving corps, Prescott has the potential to achieve or surpass 4,000 passing yards in the upcoming season.
