The Dallas Cowboys have reached extensions with Ryan Flournoy and Brevyn Spann-Ford that could be worth a combined $24 million. The agreements keep both players under contract beyond 2026 and mark a shift from the team’s earlier practice of waiting for players to establish themselves before offering longer-term deals.
Flournoy’s one-year addition can pay him as much as $6 million and runs through 2027. In 2025, he recorded 40 catches, 475 yards and four touchdowns. The report said he is expected to become the Cowboys’ regular No. 3 receiver.
His size and athleticism allow him to play all three receiver spots in Dallas’ 11-personnel sets, and the deal may help preserve continuity among the top receivers if George Pickens leaves after the current season.
Spann-Ford agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $18 million, with $12.075 million guaranteed, keeping him in Dallas through 2029. He joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and last season competed with Luke Schoonmaker for the backup tight end role behind Jake Ferguson.
Earlier Cowboys extensions involving Terence Steele, Jaylon Smith, Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland came after those players had shown more established success.
