Von Miller, recognized as the active leader in career sacks in the NFL, has officially joined the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year contract. He shared the news via an Instagram post, expressing his enthusiasm with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."

Miller, who hails from DeSoto, Texas, located about 25 minutes south of Dallas, has deep connections to the region, having also played college football at Texas A&M. As he embarks on his 15th NFL season, Miller comes from a stint with the Washington Commanders, where he tallied 26 tackles and nine sacks across 17 games last season.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, he secured victories with the Broncos in 2015 and the Rams in 2021. Drafted as the second overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos, he has also played for the Buffalo Bills.

Over his career, Miller has amassed a total of 138.5 sacks, placing him in a tie for 13th all-time with Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy. His impressive stats include 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games.

The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
