One individual died and several others required hospitalization following a traffic collision in Gunter on Sunday. The incident occurred on Farm to Market Road 121 just before noon.
Firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that the crash involved two vehicles. According to the Gunter Police Department, the driver of one of the cars was killed in the accident. That same vehicle's passenger sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Emergency crews closed that stretch of FM 121 while they managed the scene. The road remained shut down during the initial response phase.
