The City of Gunter has announced that municipal offices will be closed on July 3 to observe the Independence Day holiday. The closure applies to all city departments and services located within city facilities.

Residents seeking assistance during this time should note that standard business operations will resume on Monday, July 6. The city indicated that it will be open and available to serve the public again on that date.

For urgent matters requiring immediate attention during the closure, the city directed residents to call 911. This instruction applies to emergencies that cannot wait until the offices reopen.

This announcement was posted on the city's official website on June 26, 2026. The notice serves to inform residents of the temporary suspension of non-emergency government services for the holiday period.

In addition to the holiday closure notice, the city's recent updates include a deadline of July 15 for applications for an open Municipal Development District (MDD) Board position. The city also issued a Notice of Interest for City Attorney Services on June 12. Furthermore, public hearings regarding the Taylor Ranch PID and the Platinum Ranch PID are scheduled for July 2.

The city previously announced that offices would be closed on Friday, June 19, for a different holiday. The current closure for Independence Day follows that earlier announcement. Residents are advised to plan their visits to city hall or other municipal services accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the July 3 closure.
