Visitors Hold Lead in Final Frame
The Seattle Mariners defeated the Houston Astros 3-2 on Sunday, August 16, at Daikin Park. The game featured four home runs and a pitching duel that remained tight into the late innings. Bryan Woo secured the win for Seattle, while Hunter Brown took the loss for Houston. Attendance at the venue reached 27,971.
Scoring Sequence
The Mariners took an early lead in the first inning when Arozarena hit a home run to left center, traveling 365 feet. Seattle extended their advantage in the third inning as Canzone singled to right, allowing Rodden to score. The Astros cut into the deficit in the fourth inning with a 369-foot home run to right by Peña.
In the sixth inning, Raleigh hit a 327-foot home run to left, giving Seattle a 3-1 lead. Houston responded immediately in the same frame when Allen hit a 387-foot home run to left, narrowing the margin to 3-2. The Astros failed to score in the bottom of the sixth, leaving the game tied for the remainder of the contest.

Bryan Woo pitched six innings for the Mariners, allowing three hits and two earned runs while walking one batter and striking out five. He earned his ninth win of the season. Eduard Bazardo pitched one inning, allowing one hit and no earned runs.
