The Chicago White Sox have officially eliminated the Houston Astros, winning the American League Wild Card series 2-0. In the decisive Game 2 at Daikin Park on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the visitors defeated the hosts 7-3. The result improves the White Sox record to 84-78, while the Astros finish at 81-81. With 36,015 fans in attendance, the White Sox secured their first playoff series win since 2005 by sweeping the two-game set.
