Gunter, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.5980 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 22, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.5380 yesterday. That is up from $3.4950 a week ago but higher than $3.2200 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.6800, while the national average is $4.0600. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 38 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7080, drivers are paying about 89 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.8430 per gallon, AAA reported.
