Gunter, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.5880 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 19, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.6030 yesterday. That is up from $3.3400 a week ago but higher than $3.2860 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5640, while the national average is $3.9980. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 30 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7780, drivers are paying about 81 cents more per gallon.
