Early Lead Sets Tone
The Dallas Stars established control early in their home opener, taking a 1-0 advantage into the second period thanks to a snapshot goal by defenseman Thomas Harley. Assisted by Jason Robertson, Harley’s effort came in the first period and provided the only offense for Dallas during that frame.

Dallas extended its lead in the third period when Nils Lundkvist scored his first goal of the season. His snapshot, assisted by Mikko Rantanen and Dylan Hryckowian, pushed the Stars ahead 2-0. However, the Blues refused to surrender, with Jonatan Berggren cutting the deficit to one goal later in the third period.
