The Dallas Cowboys are preparing to launch their 2026 training camp in Oxnard, California, with team activities starting on July 27 and fan-accessible practices commencing on July 29. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer will hold a press conference on July 29 alongside owner Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones.

The camp will feature the annual Back Together Saturday event on August 1, with practices open to the public until August 18. A significant focus for the Cowboys will be their defense, which struggled last season, allowing an average of 30 points per game, the worst in the league.

New defensive coordinator Christian Parker is implementing a 3-4 scheme, potentially introducing up to seven new starters on that side of the ball.

In contrast, the offense remains largely unchanged, having averaged 27.7 points per game in 2025. This marks the 20th consecutive year that the Cowboys have held their training camp in Oxnard.
