The Gunter City Council will discuss, consider, and act upon a resolution during its Sept. 3, 2026 meeting.
The agenda item addresses updates to authorized signatories for municipal banking operations.
The proposed measure would remove former Mayor Pro Tem Alan Richins and Mayor Karen Souther as signatories for city accounts held at Simmons Bank.
Council members will evaluate the removal as part of the agenda item.
The resolution designates Mayor Pro Tem Wade Burtsfield, Alderman William Hemby, City Manager Hayden Brodowsky, and City Secretary Detra Gaines for the accounts.
These officials would receive transactional and disbursement powers, administrative and account management powers, and information and inquiry powers.
