The City of Gunter is selling two of its ambulances and will open sealed bids for the pair at City Hall later this month.
Both units are 2017 Ford F-450 Type I ambulances with 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engines, and both are being offered with their equipment, according to the city's bid notice. One shows 44,648 miles and the other 51,676.
The vehicles will be sold together to a single buyer, and the city has set a reserve of $155,000. Any bid below that amount will be disqualified. Everything is sold as-is, with no guarantee of condition from the city.
How to bid
Sealed bids must be hand-delivered to the city secretary at Gunter City Hall, 105 N. 4th St., by 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. The envelope must be marked "Sealed Vehicle Bid for Bid Opening" and include the city's bid form, which can be requested by email from the city secretary's office.
Bids will be opened and read aloud in the City Hall meeting room right after the deadline. The highest bidder wins; if two bids tie, the city will invite both to submit another sealed bid.
